About Me
Hi, I’m Laura, the Community Outreach Officer at Jersey Sport. I dedicate my work to connecting with young people aged 11–25, inspiring confidence, and fostering positive growth through structured sport and physical activities. I aim to give young people a sense of focus, achievement, and belonging, empowering them to reach their full potential in a supportive environment.
Role & Responsibilities
I plan and deliver targeted programmes for identified groups and the wider community that build confidence, teamwork, and promote positive lifestyle choices. My role focuses on creating opportunities for young people to stay active, feel included, and develop essential life skills.
Career Journey
I have worked in sport development in Jersey for around 16 years, starting as a PE coach and progressing to manage the PE team, overseeing staff and programme delivery. I then transitioned into a Cycle Officer role, where I developed a new cycle programme from the ground up. Earlier this year, I moved into my current role as Community Outreach Officer. Outside of Jersey, I have lived in America on two occasions, working as a football coach.

I am passionate about making a positive difference in young people’s lives. I believe sport builds confidence, teamwork, and resilience. My approach is centred on inclusivity, breaking down barriers, and creating supportive environments where every young person can thrive.
Fun Facts / Personal Interests
I am a mum of two amazing children. I coach the Jersey Ladies Football Team and the Jersey Bulls Ladies Football Team. Outside of sport, I enjoy playing music and cooking.
