Jersey Sport are delighted to launch their Travel Grant scheme and Volunteer Workforce Grant scheme for 2022, thanks to funding provided by the Government of Jersey.
The Travel Grant is intended to support the development of Jersey athletes by providing financial assistance towards the travel costs associated with off-island sporting competitions or training camps.
The Volunteer Workforce Grant aims to support Jersey clubs and associations to develop by providing financial assistance towards the costs associated with training, qualifications and continued CPD for volunteer workforce.
Both grant schemes are now open to receive applications until 14 February 2022. All applicants should be either a Jersey based Sport Association, or a Jersey based Sport Club (If applying in this category the Club must confirm why there is no association within their sport).
Steve Law, Chair of the Jersey Sport Grants Advisory Committee said, “In 2021, the Grants Advisory Committee was delighted to award over £180,000 to sports associations in Jersey as part of its ongoing grants programme. We are excited to launch the 2022 grants programme and we actively encourage all local sports associations to consider applying for a Volunteer Workforce Development Grant, or a Travel Grant to help support athletes train and compete off island.”
