Jersey teacher Chris Fancourt has set himself an incredible challenge of doing 100 sports in 100 days and in doing so wants to raise £5,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity close to his heart.
Chris contacted Jersey Sport to help him and we were delighted to assist.
For Day 51 of his challenge, Chris came along to our Walking Football session at Springfield with his dad who thoroughly enjoyed the session. Walking Football is a fun session for all abilities and ages. Chris said, “It was a competitive 40-minute match, played out with a great bunch of guys. It was quite tricky not to go running for the ball and certainly makes you think about your passing and tactical awareness.”
Jersey Sport also helped Chris with contacts for pistol shooting, dance, slacklining and spearfishing.
If you’d like to try a new sport, let us know and we’ll put you in touch with a club.
