Netball Development Officer
Full-time appointment or two part-time roles (Community and Performance)
Primary role is to support the development of netball in Jersey, encourage participation and be a positive, proactive representative of the game in all interactions.
CPD is essential (keep all required coaching, safeguarding and first aid qualifications up-to-date, attend relevant workshops led by Jersey Sport and England Netball.)
UKCC L2 coaching qualification essential.
Support the delivery of the JNA’s Netball Development Plan.
To work with Jersey Sport for the delivery of SLA contracts.
Schools
Deliver sessions and support teachers with development and engagement of netball within Primary and Secondary schools.
Encourage participation through JNA programmes.
Community
Provide programmes across all sections of the community.
Work with JNA committee on future development of netball.
Liase with visiting teams to offer games, training and tournaments.
Island/Performance
Liase with JNA Performance Coach to support Performance Pathway.
Oversee and Lead coach at Team Jets Academy Saturday mornings 08:30-14:00 and Mondays 4:45-6:15pm.
Lead/support Ora Team Jets island netball programme including training and match play in NSW Regional leagues.
Regular weekend trips with Jets and County Academy teams.
Other roles and responsibilities include:-
Developing netball for other members of the community.
Support JNA Board.
Liaise with Admin assistant.
Keep websites and social media updated.
Ensure all safeguarding opportunities and records are maintained.
Support the professional development of JNA members.
Excellent communication skills are essential with the ability to relate to people and children of all ages and backgrounds.
High level organisational skills, good literacy, numeracy and IT skills are essential.
