Jersey Capoeira Association

Jersey Capoeira Association is a sports club run and managed in Jersey by Monitora Corujinha under the authority of Filhos da Bahia Capoeira Melbourne.

Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian art form incorporating; martial arts, percussion, song, acrobatics and rhythm.

It derives from the plantations and streets of Brazil as an expression of emancipation during the slave trade era.

Benefits include; physical strengthening, spatial awareness, confidence, an escape from daily life and union.

All ages and abilities are welcome. Classes run twice a week with annual and semi annual workshops and gradings.
