Sam Sterry

Sam has represented Tigers Swimming Club for over a decade, competing in both open water and pool-based events. Some of his most memorable achievements include winning multiple British age–group championships, representing Jersey at the Youth Commonwealth Games in Trinidad, and competing at the 2024 Olympic trials. 

Same feels fortunate to be coached by proficient local coaches Sian Silvester and Nathan Jegou, training as part of a squad that pushes for the highest standards in training and competition. 

This season, Sam has been selected for Swim England’s Youth Performance Squad and has raced for Team GB in Rotterdam and Team England in Luxembourg. He is currently preparing for the British Championships in April and aiming for selection at the European Juniors later in the season. Looking ahead, the prospect of competing at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow next year is a major goal for Sam.
