REPORTING

Ensuring clear systems are in place to report, manage, and respond to any concerns, issues or poor practice

How does your sports club, association, group or charity ensure all activities take place in a safe, welcoming, and protected environment?

You’ll find information and resources on the quality standards Jersey Sport recommend to create an inclusive, secure, and reliable platform for all sport and physical activity on island, below.

REPORTING

From compiling reporting systems to communicating these with your members, clear reporting is everyone’s business.

Listen to some local sports organisations talking about best Reporting practice within their sports organisation:

Here’s how to ensure your organisation meets our quality standards and can implement on-going good practice:

QUALITY STANDARD:

There are clear systems to report, respond and manage safeguarding concerns or allegations of poor practice or abuse

RECOMMENDATIONS:

  • The organisation has robust responding and reporting procedures for indicators or allegations of poor practice or abuse; considering National Governing Body / World Federation and Jersey Families & Children’s Hub / States of Jersey Police referral process
  • The organisation has a written complaints and disciplinary policy to address breaches of codes of conduct or the safeguarding policy, which is communicated to all members
  • The organisation has readily available Accident/Incident Report forms, and members are aware how to use, record and store information appropriately
