Para Athletics (Discus)

Rachel has made significant progress in para-athletics after starting discus just two years ago, improving her World Para Athletics ranking from 23rd to 13th and increasing her personal best by over nine metres.

She also climbed to UK No.1, won silver at her first England Championships, and earned her first England vest. Additionally, she was selected to represent Jersey at the Commonwealth Sport GAPS Camp in Mauritius. 

In 2025, Rachel’s main goal is to qualify for the World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi. As part of the UKA Paralympic Futures Academy, she will be competing in international qualifying events, including WPA Grand Prix competitions in Paris and Czechia, as well as attending a training camp in Toronto. Rachel’s focus is firmly on securing a place in the world’s top 12 rankings to increase her chances of selection and continue pushing her performance to the next level.
