Move More Jersey and Digital Jersey have partnered with local digital start-up, Soulgenic, to offer the Soulgenic Wellbeing app free of charge to islanders at home during the current Coronavirus pandemic.
The Soulgenic Wellbeing app, which can be downloaded for iPhone or Android, offers a complete wellness solution for individuals, designed by health and wellness experts. The easy to follow programmes focus on the four pillars of wellbeing: mind and body, fitness, health, and nutrition.
It enables islanders isolated at home the opportunity to unlock their fitness potential and become a healthier, more productive version of themselves, during a time they are being asked to stay at home.
Produced by Soulgenic and filmed by local production team Slingshot Films, with development support from TSG Jersey, each of the 28-day workout programmes also delivers high quality wellness advice to relax mind, body and soul, along with ways to reinvent daily nutrition.
Dr Glenda Rivoallan, Founder and CEO of Soulgenic explained, “What each of us has experienced – and continues to – is something we’ll never forget. The one thing that unites us in this time is to ensure we stay safe and well. To help our community, Soulgenic is honoured to partner with Move More Jersey and Digital Jersey to offer our wellbeing app to the people of Jersey for free. Soulgenic’s vision is to encourage the greatest number of people to lead healthier lives. Being in a position to make a positive difference, to help everyone make the most of their wellbeing is a contribution we are proud to be making.”
Tony Moretta, CEO at Digital Jersey said, “We’re delighted to partner with Move More Jersey, the initiative by Jersey Sport, to encourage people to maintain healthy levels of exercise in these difficult times. Digital Jersey has supported Soulgenic’s development since they first started in the Hub; so it is very fitting that we are helping a local digitally enabled health and fitness business, to provision their app for the benefit of the whole community in Jersey. Digital solutions can reach far and wide, connecting and educating all ages, without risk.”
Key features of the wellbeing app are it offers access to six different 28-day programmes, a personalised dashboard, so you can track your progress, there are easy and advanced options on every fitness video and you can save the exercises you particularly like to your favourites.
Catriona McAllister, CEO at Jersey Sport said, “Offering the Soulgenic Wellbeing app free of charge to islanders during the current pandemic, in partnership with Digital Jersey, is something Jersey Sport are extremely proud to support. There’s never been a more important time for islanders to try and keep fit and well whilst they remain at home. The wellness app will hopefully provide much needed support and comfort to islanders during this critical time of need.”
