Nathan Jegou, Head Coach of Calligo Tigers Swimming Club, said:
“Funding from Jersey Sport has been instrumental in upskilling our workforce and enabling our members to gain professional qualifications. It’s ensured we can operate safely through the NPLQ and deliver high-quality, up-to-date swimming lessons via ASA Level 1 and 2 courses.
With limited local training options, this support has been essential — and it also gives our young members the chance to gain internationally recognised qualifications that set them up for future success.”
Jon Le Fondre, Jersey Sport’s Grant and Sport Development Officer, said:
“We are delighted to award a further £45,000 through Round 2 of the SUPPORTIN SPORT Fund. This year’s total distribution of £179,000 represents a significant investment in the Island’s sporting infrastructure and community programmes.
The high standard of applications demonstrates the passion and dedication of Jersey’s sport organisations, all working hard to widen participation and deliver safe, inclusive and enjoyable experiences for islanders of all ages.”
