We’re incredibly proud to confirm a record year for its Performance Sport Programme, with 54 athletes, four coaches and two officials set to receive support in 2026.
The announcement follows the expansion of the programme earlier this year, when applications were opened to coaches and officials for the first time. This development marks a significant step forward in Jersey Sport’s commitment to supporting not only athletes, but also the wider network that underpins performance success.
A total of 11 new athletes have been selected to join the programme, alongside 43 returning athletes from the 2024 and 2025 cohorts.
With an investment of £125,875 in 2026, Jersey Sport will have committed more than £290,000 to performance sport since the programme launched in December 2024.
The latest cohort represents a diverse range of sports and emerging Island talent:
Seren Coombs (Rugby Union), Adam Dalton (Golf), Oliver Dodds (Weightlifting), Anushan Elanco (Touch Rugby), Clara Ginnis (Swimming), Hannah Sterry (Swimming), Xavier Le Moignan (Surfing), James Wiseman (Rugby), Jacob Watson (Rugby), Florence Allo (Netball) and Daniel Dubras (Athletics).
Four coaches have been selected for support in 2026:
Jake Powell (Surfing), Sasha Baker (Artistic Roller Skating), Penelope Cruttwell (Equestrian) and Elliot Powell (Football).
They are joined by two officials:
Stuart Hodgson (Cricket) and Peter Vincenti (Football).
Their inclusion represents an important milestone for the programme. By investing in coaches and officials alongside athletes, Jersey Sport is strengthening the full performance pathway—supporting high-quality coaching environments and developing officials who play a vital role in delivering fair, consistent competition and long-term sporting progress.
The programme now spans 26 sports, including five para sports, reflecting the breadth and inclusivity of Jersey’s performance landscape.

Strong results continue to demonstrate the programme’s impact, with 80% of supported athletes reporting improved performances.
