Nominations for the 2023 Jersey Sport and Move More Jersey Awards are now open!

Jersey Sport is delighted to announce nominations for the 2023 Jersey Sport and Move More Jersey Awards are now open!

The Awards recognise and reward individuals, sporting organisations, schools and businesses who participate, coach or volunteer within sport, and those who enable active opportunities in Jersey. This year, our Awards evening will take place at the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel on Thursday 23 November.

Nominations are now open for the 12 sporting and physical activity Awards – including the Jersey Sport Hall of Fame sponsored by Ocorian Trustees, the Local Hero Award and the Valorie and Sid Guy Lifetime Achievement Award.

Jersey Sport’s CEO, Catriona McAllister, said: “There’s so much sporting talent in Jersey and so many people that enable sport and physical activities within the island – our Awards are a chance to celebrate and thank all those people that achieve so much and make it all happen. With the Island Games just around the corner, there’s no better time to start nominating stand-out sporting performances and those that give up their time to support our local athletes.”

The event not only recognises worthy nominees, it also helps to raise the profile of sport and physical activity in Jersey. Award recognition is for achievements dated between 1 August 2022 to 31 July 2023. Award nominations will close on Friday 25 August 2023.
