ATHLETICS OFFICIALS COURSE SATURDAY 27TH APRIL 2019

This will be a one day course with no assessment. There’s a whole host of motivations why people officiate in athletics, from wanting to give something back to the sport that they or their child enjoy, helping improve their skills, making new friends to experiencing the sport from a different perspective.

At JSAC we want to give our athletes the opportunity to compete in well organised events, in order to do this we need qualified officials. By doing the one day course you would help raise the level of our events. This would not be an onerous commitment as we only hold a few events a year and you would not be asked to help at them all. The more volunteers we have the more we can spread the load.

We will be paying for the England Athletics officials to travel to Jersey to teach the course: track, time keeping, starter and field. If you or any members of your family or work colleagues would be interested in doing this course then please contact Hannah Gothard info@jerseyspartan.com letting Hannah know which discipline you are interested in. You will always work alongside a qualified official!

There will be a small cost which will be refunded once you have completed the qualification.

The EXACT TIMES are TBC but it is most likely to be approx. 9am – 3pm.
