SUPPORTIN SPORT FUND
JERSEY HOCKEY
Jersey Hockey were awarded £7,070 in Round 1 of the 2025 fund, to provide a pilot for a Development Officer to help grow Jersey Hockey by supporting school delivery, coach upskilling, and player development across all levels. The initiatives are expected to directly benefit over 600 participants through the award received by the SUPPORTIN SPORT Fund.
Jersey Hockey is seeking to appoint a Development Officer in a pilot, to strengthen its coaching network and expand the sport’s reach across the island. This role will focus on delivering in-school coaching aimed at upskilling 12 teachers and engaging at least 300 children, while also supporting the current junior development programme of 250 young players and 10 lead coaches.
The Development Officer will contribute to performance improvements among Jersey’s 1st team squads and enhance coaching, umpiring, and goalkeeping through initiatives from England Hockey and external experts. This investment aligns with Jersey Hockey’s mission to foster an inclusive, social, and safe environment where players of all ages and abilities can thrive and reach their full potential.
