Workforce and Sport Development Officer

About Me
Sport has always been my passion. Growing up around sport, I am delighted to now work in an area I love, helping islanders engage in and develop their sporting potential.

Role & Responsibilities
I am currently the Workforce and Sport Development Officer at Jersey Sport. My role covers upskilling and training for sports organisations, as well as the recruitment, retention, and recognition of volunteers in sport. In addition, I deliver the Performance Sport Programme, which provides funding and a network of support services for aspiring athletes on the island.

Career Journey
Before joining Jersey Sport, I worked at Jersey Cricket in a variety of roles. My work included delivering schools and community programmes and managing the boys’ performance pathway.

Qualifications & Skills
I am a Level 3 Cricket Coach with over a decade of experience in local sport development.

Philosophy / Approach
I am committed to supporting everyone we work with, from committee members of sports organisations to local volunteers and performance athletes. My goal is to ensure that all stakeholders feel supported, with Jersey Sport backing them every step of the way.

Fun Facts / Personal Interests
I am a keen cricketer and am proud to represent the island team. I also enjoy attending and watching sport around the island, with the occasional game of padel thrown in for fun.

Why Jersey Sport / Achievements & Highlights
I am proud to be part of Jersey Sport’s successes, particularly the achievements of our Performance Sport athletes over the past year. I am also delighted with the success of our volunteer recognition scheme, which celebrates the individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes to deliver fantastic sport across the island.
