The Jersey Freshwater Angling Association were awarded £500 in Round 1 of the 2025 fund, aims to convert a former sandpit into an accessible Boccia or Pétanque area, with wheelchair access. The initiatives are expected to directly benefit over 120 participants through the award received by the SUPPORTIN SPORT Fund.
The Tamba Park Community Project, led by the JFAA, is transforming an underused green space into an inclusive area for activities like angling and mindful relaxation, particularly benefiting young people, those with additional needs, and wheelchair users. A key part of the project is the planned conversion of the former sandpit area into a Boccia or Pétanque space, providing an accessible and engaging alternative for visitors who do not fish.
