Round 1
Padel for All were awarded £2,820 in Round 1 of the 2025 fund, to provide a project introduces Le Rocquier girls to padel through a phased programme, boosting confidence and participation to prevent teenage drop-off in sport.The initiatives are expected to directly benefit over 60 participants through the award received by the SUPPORTIN SPORT Fund.
This project aims to introduce Year 7 and 8 girls from Le Rocquier School to padel, building their skills and confidence to continue participating in the sport beyond the programme. Developed from a successful pilot, the three-phase initiative includes in-school PE sessions, on-site lessons at Island Padel, and an after-school programme to deepen engagement. With a focus on preventing teenage drop-off and supporting girls in sport, the project aligns closely with Jersey Sport’s goals of increasing participation and fostering an inclusive, sustainable sporting community.
Round 2
Padel for All were awarded £935 in Round 2 of the 2025 fund, to support the Isolated and Lonely Senior St Clement’s Parishioners (65+) – Gentle Padel Program
The initiatives are expected to directly benefit over 70 participants through the award received by the SUPPORTIN SPORT Fund.
This program offers a gentle and inclusive introduction to padel for seniors aged 65 and over. It’s designed to help older islanders increase their movement, make new connections, and engage with the local community, especially those who may be living alone or feeling isolated.
