JERSEY TABLE TENNIS ASSOCIATION
The Jersey Table Tennis Association have been awarded £8,000 in 2024 to deliver a targeted community programme to increase participation levels of their lowest retained player pools. The initiative is expected to directly benefit around 100 participants through the award received by the SUPPORTIN SPORT Fund.
The funding will activate additional coaching resource to deliver a two-year programme focused on providing quality coaching for league players aged 21-40 and Intermediate Juniors. The latter aims to engage teenagers to avoid their participation drop-off, and support the smooth transition into senior competitive leagues. The free-to-access programmes will involve technical coaching sessions twice a week to encourage new and returning players into the sport.
