SUPPORTIN SPORT FUND
JERSEY SPARTAN ATHLETIC CLUB
Jersey Spartan Athletic Club (JSAC) have been awarded £1,725 in 2024 to deliver workforce development opportunities for their coaches. The initiative is expected to directly benefit around 300 participants through the award received by the SUPPORTIN SPORT Fund.
The funding will provide a 75% contribution of associated costs to support essential on-island upskilling for local coaches. These opportunities will not only improve the quality of local coaching available to athletes, but also the sustainability of on-island competition opportunities.

JSAC’s Chair, Rebecca Orpin, has now achieved her Level 2 ‘Starters Assistant’ qualification and made four trips to the UK in support of progressing to the full Level 2 ‘Starters’ qualification which she expects to obtain during 2025. The Grade 2 ‘Course Measurer’ visit has been delayed due to timing difficulties but will take place this year.
