BOWLS JERSEY
Bowls Jersey were awarded £924.76 in Round 1 of the 2025 fund, to provide new coaching and umpiring courses to boost participation, introduce inclusive disability bowls, and ensure there are qualified officials to support future events and long-term growth..The initiatives are expected to directly benefit over 500 participants through the award received by the SUPPORTIN SPORT Fund.
As part of Bowls Jersey’s ongoing development, they are introducing two new upskilling events: a coaching course to boost participation among non-bowlers, current members, and those with disabilities—laying the groundwork for inclusive bowls as part of their 5-year plan—and an umpires’ course to train local volunteers, ensuring we have qualified officials to support events and sustain long-term growth, including hosting World Bowls Tour panels.
