SUPPORTIN SPORT FUND

BSJA Jersey were awarded £4,500 in Round 1 of the 2025 fund, to address a shortage of qualified coaches and officials on island by bringing in UK experts to train members and build long-term self-sufficiency. The initiatives are expected to directly benefit over 120 participants through the award received by the SUPPORTIN SPORT Fund.
The club currently faces a shortage of suitably qualified officials and coaches, which presents challenges in delivering high-quality training and competitive opportunities for members. To tackle this, a dedicated training programme is being introduced by bringing in experienced officials from the UK to deliver expert guidance and mentorship. This initiative not only helps their members gain the essential qualifications required for coaching and officiating but also supports the long-term goal of building internal capacity.
