Ryan Le Monnier
Disability Equestrian
Ryan is a RDA (Riding for the Disabled) dressage rider, he is the first person from Jersey to compete at the regional and national RDA competitions.
Ryan has just returned from competing at the South west RDA qualifying competition where he placed 1st and has qualified for the RDA National championships at Hartpury in July, he hopes to qualify for the British Dressage Para Championships in August. He has qualified for the RDA national championships 3 times, he won his class in 2022 and has competed at the British Dressage Para Championships twice. Ryan rides a borrowed horse in these competitions with very limited time to practice.
Ryan is very grateful to be part of the Performance sport programme, he is hoping to receive classification for Sport Excel UK and Virtus Sport for Intellectual disability which will enable him to compete at national and international level, Ryan’s aim is to be selected for the GB team and ride at the Global games.
