Currently ranked 5th in the UK for 10m Air Rifle, Libby’s passion for shooting began at age 12 and has led to numerous achievements, including becoming the youngest and first female Channel Island Championships winner in full bore rifle shooting at the age of 15.
Libby has won numerous events representing Team Jersey at Bisley and is Jersey Junior .22 champion. With only six months experience, she shot 10m Air Rifle at the Island Games winning Team silver and Individual gold. She was awarded Junior Performance of the Island Games as well as being voted Jersey’s Sportsperson of the Year at the 2024 Jersey Sports Council Awards.
Libby is now an active part of the British Shooting Talent Squad, training monthly in the UK. She has represented Great Britain in the Junior Nordic Championships gaining valuable international experience, and competed at the Junior International Open gaining a silver and bronze in .22. Locally, she is a three times Island Champion in air rifle.
Looking ahead to 2025, Libby is focused on competing at the Junior International again this year as well as challenging in Europe and at Bisley. She is excited to start to shoot 3-position .22 with British Shooting and is working hard to compete in this discipline this year. Libby’s ultimate dream is to compete at the World Cup events and to make it onto the World Class Shooting programme with an aim of competing in the 2032 Olympics in Brisbane, Australia.
