Riders MUST have completed and passed Bikeability Level 2 in order to participate in this course. If you have not yet completed Bikeability Level 2, Jersey Sport will be offering this course over the holidays for you to book onto.
Things to bring: a roadworthy cycle, a helmet that fits correctly & is free from cracks, water bottle and some snacks in a backpack the child can ride with. Suitable clothing (loose items like skirts, baggy trousers and unzipped jackets are not suitable for cycling).
The Bikeability Level 3 course aims to develop riders’ skills and confidence so they can ride in diverse road environments, including complex, often busy roads and junctions, sometimes with speed limits above 30 mph. Successful demonstration of assessment criteria in Bikeability Level 2 is a prerequisite for participation in Bikeability Level 3.

We highly encourage you to bring your own cycle if you have access to one. However, Jersey sport have a small fleet of cycles and helmets available for loan upon prior request on a first come first serve basis. Please contact cycleteam@jerseysport.je with your child’s height (cm), inside leg length (cm) and the dates/course your child will be attending If you would like to arrange the loan of a cycle / helmet for one of our courses.
