Jack Ovens, 15, is a committed artistic roller skater who has trained and competed with Regent Skating Club since the age of five. He began competing at seven and has developed into one of the top athletes in his category, currently holding the title of British Cadet Men’s Champion.
He has twice been selected for the GB Squad at the European Cup (2023 in Croatia and 2024 in Switzerland) and has competed in the World International Series semi-finals in Trieste, Italy. Most recently, he qualified for the final of the World International Series and will soon return to Italy to compete against the best in Europe.
Jack trains intensively every weekend and throughout the school holidays. He has also attended World Skate training seminars in Venice, where he has learned from and skated alongside some of the world’s top coaches and athletes. Alongside his own training, Jack gives back to the sport by coaching at community sessions and mentoring younger competitive skaters.
Known for his calm confidence, focus, and strong work ethic, Jack’s goal is to be officially selected by GB Skate to represent Great Britain at the European and World Championships.
