Isaac Thompson
Swimming

Isaac started his sporting journey from a young age, his parents always advocated for him to participate in sport no matter what it was. Isaac started to swim just to be safe in the water and be able to access the sea, at first it was more of a life skill than something to excel in. That changed from 2019 where he made his first county championships.

Currently, Isaac is based in the UK, training at Mount Kelly coached by Greg Limb-King previously part of the successful Calligo Tigers swimming programme.

Isaac’s standout achievements include becoming a three-time National Age Group Champion and representing both Great Britain and Jersey on the international stage. In 2023, competing at the European Youth Olympic Festival for Team GB,  Isaac placed 9th in the 200m Backstroke and just after he represented Jersey at the Youth Commonwealth Games in Trinidad and Tobago, finishing 6th in the same event. This year he has managed to become the 4th fastest junior in 200 backstroke (17th in Britain open) and 5th fastest Junior 400IM. Isaac is still learning and developing in the sport and is hoping to add to these achievements in the near future with the approaching Island Games in Orkney.

Moving into 2026, It will be his last year as a Junior and will be aiming for the European Junior qualification and qualification for the commonwealth games representing Jersey.
