Hylton is a Rower and a second-year student at Stanford University. He started Rowing whilst at school in 2017, but his rowing career really kicked off in 2022 when he qualified for the GB Rowing team for Munich International Regatta. Here he won a Gold medal, followed by a Silver medal at the 2022 U19 World Championships with a world’s best time.
After leaving school, Hylton took a gap year to focus on his Rowing training full-time, ultimately earning a scholarship to study at Stanford. In 2023, he started coastal rowing in Jersey and competed for the first time that Summer, placing 6th at the European Championships. In 2024, he placed 8th at the European Championships and 5th at the World Championships after a solid Summer of training.
Hylton’s goals for this year are primarily focused around strong performances at the US Collegiate National Championships, where his team’s goal is to reach the A final for the first time in several years. He is also aiming to trial for the British Beach Sprint team and compete at the European Coastal Championships.
