Rowing is Hector’s passion, so much so that he is currently on a ‘gap year’ between school and university to focus on becoming a better, faster athlete. 

His recent achievements show potential for a future of success, so far including a second place finish at Coupe de la Jeunesse (European Championships) in the Men’s U19 Coxless Four in 2024, a sixth place finish in the U19 Open Solo at the European Beach Sprint Championships in 2023, and a fifth place finish in the U19 Open Solo at the World Beach Sprint Finals in 2023.

For the upcoming season, Hector is fully focused on winning the Henley Regatta with his club Thames Rowing Club, as well as aiming to trial for the Great Britain Beach Sprints Team.
