The Programmes
Adult Learn to Ride is FREE and for beginner riders who cannot yet pedal a bike or are extremely unconfident in doing so.Â
The sessions start from the very basics of preparing yourself and the cycle, getting on and off the bike, and progressing towards learning how to balance and pedal independently.
It doesn’t matter if you haven’t cycled before, we’re here to help and support you at the start of your cycling journey.
Sofa2Saddle is FREE and for anyone who can ride but needs support to feel more confident when riding.
The programme is for anyone over 16 years, with any type of cycle.
The programme is designed to take you from 0km-16km along routes predominantly on flat terrain, traffic free, quiet lanes, with introductions to small inclines and descents. We will also look at road riding techniques throughout the session when the opportunities arise.
Gaining Momentum is FREE and designed to support anyone to increase their distance and confidence on different terrains when cycling.
Gaining Momentum is for anyone over 16 years old. The programme is designed to take you from 16km – 28km, which will add saddle time to your cycle rides, whilst improving your confidence on different routes and terrain, including various opportunities to learn key road riding skills. Routes will include mixed terrain (including flat, incline and descents), traffic free and quiet lanes going to suburban routes, roads and shared user paths with some main roads to link lanes.
We want to help you feel confident when riding from A to B. Sessions are FREE & bespoke to every rider’s needs. Ride in a 1-1 ratio or feel free to bring a friend or colleague and make it 2-1.
Adult & children’s sessions* are also available, helping you ride as a family to school then onwards to work & back If desired! We will provide you with the guidance you need to help you feel confident on your journey! Â
*Adult & children’s sessions must have 1 rider over the age of 18 & all riders must be able to pedal independently.Â
Book in by filling out the form registration form. We will be in contact to provide you with available dates and times for sessions, depending on if you would like a return booking or just one way.
After your dates and times are booked in you will be asked to provide a location via What 3 Words where you would like your journey/s to start & finish.
Your instructor will then be assigned, and a pre-course email will be sent to you in the run up to your session reminding you of what you need for the session/s.Â
IMPORTANT: If you have a health condition, or take medication that may affect your ability to participate in our cycling programme, we recommend that you see your GP for a medical check-up before starting out.
Our regular FREE guided rides are led by our qualified ride leaders who are experienced in supporting people throughout their journey. Women Only Rides – are led by women, specifically for women. It doesn’t matter if you’re keeping fit or baffled by gears – every woman is welcome on a ride.
