Jersey Surf Kayak Club were awarded £1,886.00 through the Sport Workforce Development Award, to increase the number of qualified surf kayak leaders and develop specialist coaching capacity within the club.

The funding will support locally hosted training and assessments to meet Paddle UK requirements, helping the club expand from two to four qualified Surf Kayak Leaders. It will also support Surf Kayak Coach training, strengthening the club’s ability to deliver safe, regular sessions, reduce reliance on a small number of volunteers, and improve opportunities for participation and competition development.
