Archery GB Big Weekend at Jersey Archery Society

Details

Families and people of all ages (minimum age 5) are invited to try the fun and inclusive sport of archery at Jersey Archery Society, on Saturday 18 May 2019 – even if they have never picked up a bow and arrow before.

 

Archery GB’s Big Weekend, will see around 100 clubs across the British Isles open their doors to potential archers. With around 6,000 members of the public set to take part and around 35,000 arrows to be shot in total, it is going to be a massive and exciting UK wide event.

 

Visitors of all abilities will be able to try out a new sport. Archery is a fun and inclusive activity for all the family, plus there will be the opportunity to meet new friends – at each event there will be plenty of current club members to lend a hand and chat about the social side of archery.

 

Jersey Archery Society has been running for 64 of years and has 70 members of all ages, who take part in archery on a weekly basis. Jersey Archery Society is located at Crabbe  in St Marys – Crabbe Archery Range, Le Chemin du Catel, St Mary, JE3 3AD and their Big Weekend event is taking place on Saturday 18th May at 10:00 – 14:00.

 

All equipment will be provided, therefore all participants need to do is bring along themselves and plenty of enthusiasm.
