Evan Campbell
Athletics (Decathlon)

Evan competes in the Decathlon which involves ten track and field disciplines. He has recently won bronze at the UK indoor championships and is the reigning island games champion in the 110m hurdles. Evan is a solid all rounder but his best events are probably shot put and high jump.  Evan has recently moved to Manchester to better his training, especially pole vault which there’s a great set up for over there. This season, Evan’s sights are set on the commonwealth games performance standard of 7416 points, as well as collecting some medals at the island games.

With a score like that Evan should be challenging for more national medals and is not far from 8000 points which is the world class rite of passage in the decathlon. Evan is a highly determined athlete who has persevered through an unusual amount of injuries.

Evan is technically proficient in all the events, and is mentally strong, so I just need to stay fit so his speed can come through and things should really take off. Other than that, Evan tries to enjoy training as much as possible, and focus on the people, memories, and emotional experiences this sport brings you
