The Jersey Squash & Racketball Club enables both club members and non-club members to play the sports of squash and racketball in a safe, inclusive and friendly atmosphere. This applies to people of all ages including children, and of all abilities, from experienced players to those new to or trying these sports for the first time.
Racketball in particular is responsible for improving health, mobility and social interactions and camaraderie amongst our older members, and in fact, the over 40’s, over 50’s and over 60’s categories are some of the biggest in the Club. Squash continues to be very popular for people of all ages and is effective for increasing fitness and both personal and social growth. The Club’s Junior Academy is thriving and growing from year to year and likes to introduce new ways of generating excitement and a love of sport and teamwork for the younger generations.
The Club offers both racketball and squash individual and team leagues, a ladies-only group, a ‘Rusty League’ (get back into sport for those who formerly played but for work, family and other reasons may have dropped out of the sports), a corporate league, and more, and non-club members are able to book courts as well.
The Club has 5 courts which provide the facilities to offer a full year-round range of social play and competition, and the Club hosts an annual Squash and an annual Racketball Festival, both of which are great fun and free to watch. The Club has a small exercise suite specifically to encourage players of all ages and abilities to train, stretch and workout, whether individually or with coaches, to ensure they maintain a good level of fitness; this is free to all. The Club’s fully qualified coaches (who follow and adhere to UK Squash Guidelines) offer lessons to players of all abilities and ages.
