Aleksander Blampied
Surfing

Surfing has been a part of Aleks life since the age of 6 and the ocean is his happy place. He started competing for Channel Island Surfing Federation in 2024, with selection to the U18 team, competing in European Junior Surfing Championships in Portugal. It was a great experience for Aleks to be around so many awesome surfers. Aleks went on to qualify for the U18 GB Cup team and reached the semi-final, placing 7th. In January 2025, he was then selected to join The Norwegian National Recruitment team as he holds dual nationality and attended a training camp in Norway in April.

March 25, saw Aleks win his first off Island competition and he will be competing at Ripcurl GromSearch UK, Boardmasters if selected and The Norwegian National Championships later this year, as well as local competitions. He is currently Channel Island Surfing Federation Under 18 Champion and Under 14 runner up. Aleks is grateful to be selected to the program and is looking forward to accessing the support network, to help with athlete development
