Sharn Le Masurier
Marketing and Communications Officer
Role within Jersey Sport: Working closely alongside the Marketing and Communications Manager, to help deliver the Marketing and Communications Plans for Jersey Sport and Move More Jersey.
Previous employment before Jersey Sport: Prior to her appointment with Jersey Sport, Sharn was an Events and Account Manager at 3D Events for just over five years. Sharn has years’ of experience in planning and delivering many small and large scale events including conferences, mass participation sporting events, large scale community events, team build events. Sharn also has experience in promoting events using a range of marketing methods and digital channels. In addition working closely with a range of stakeholders, volunteers, sponsors, charities and many partners. Prior to 3D Events, Sharn worked at Voisins Department Store on the ‘Retail Academy’ training programme where she moved around the department and learnt new skills and has the opportunity to understand the retail industry well. During her time in the role Sharn had an interest in the Marketing Department and supported the Marketing team twice a week.
High level / sports related qualifications: Sharn studied at the University of Brighton and has a BA Hons in International Event Management. She also completed her Level 4 CIM (Chartered Institute in Marketing) Professional Certificate a couple of years ago and is now working towards her Level 6 CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing. Sharn enjoys keeping up her CPD and learning new skills, she also completed an 8 week Digital Marketing course at Digital Jersey recently.
Hobbies: Sharn has an interest in running and recently completed a number of running challenges including a half marathon, 13k challenge, 10k races and a 100mile virtual challenge! Sharn is working on improving her running technique and is also aiming to complete a triathlon, after recently learning how to swim with the Move More Jersey Swim Programme for Beginners! She enjoys spending time with friends and family, walking the two family dogs Ollie and Benji, and is a fan of cliff path walks and podcasts. Sharn also loves going to explore new countries and spending time at the beach!
